I’m sure we’ve all said or thought this while using something. Maybe we were stressed or pressed for time, and the product in our hands just wouldn’t cooperate. It was frustrating!
So why me? Simply put: empathy.
I like to understand people at a fundamental level before anything gets designed. That’s why research is now the core of my work: talking with users, and making sense of what they say and do, is the first step in tackling any product problem.
Absorbing data and feedback, and making sense of the madness, is the part of the work I enjoy most.

Qualitative depth
At Penn State I ran 30+ semi-structured interviews and helped consolidate 954 qualitative codes into shared themes.
Data skills
I pair qualitative work with Python analysis: sentiment scoring, statistical testing and data visualization, built as reproducible workflows.
Findings people can use
I turn research into practical recommendations, such as design changes for mobile games that weigh user trust against retention and revenue.
A design background
I’ve designed and tested products end to end, from sketches to prototypes, so I understand how research gets used in design.

Expressing concepts and opinions is a cornerstone of my work style. I won’t let ideas fizzle out for the sake of moving on, but I also love to hear the thoughts of others.

I always strive to know the why, and how to use what I’ve learned.
Compassionate
I try to put myself in others’ shoes before jumping to conclusions. I believe this is one of the best ways to reduce friction in a team.
